Tom Stoltman joins BBC’s Gladiators

Have you seen the news? Our very own Tom Stoltman is going to be one of BBC One’s Gladiators!

The Albatross, who is the three-times World’s Strongest Man, will be returning to a place he knows well – Sheffield Arena – to film the series which will be on air in 2027.

Back in February, he won his fourth Britain’s Strongest Man title there in front of nearly 10,000 fans.

Now he’ll be coming up against competitors from across the UK who want to take on the Gladiators.

Darren Sadler, Director of Giants Live – the Official Strongman World Tour and World’s Strongest Man Tournament Director, said:

“Tom is quite simply a strength legend and I’m thrilled for him personally and excited that the millions of Gladiators viewers will now get to experience quite how incredible he is on tv each Saturday night.

“It’s a real testament to the growing popularity of strength sport that we have a three-times World’s Strongest Man chosen to join such a popular show. We don’t yet know Tom’s Gladiator name, but we know one thing – whoever has to face him will come up against one formidable competitor.

“As anyone who’s been to a Giants Live show will know, the competitiveness of these strength athletes is another level – and I’d encourage anyone thinking about coming to our shows in Birmingham and Glasgow this autumn to grab a ticket so they can see for themselves that I mean. You may even see a familiar face in the line-up!”
