Four returning champions will be among those going head-to-head at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena on Saturday, 7th February, for the coveted Geoff Capes Memorial Trophy at the first event of next year’s Official Strongman World Tour from Giants Live.
Earlier this year, a record crowd of 8,500 were there to see Luke Stoltman take the title and the Scot is set to be back to defend his crown, alongside his brother – the three-times World’s Strongest Man and three-times Britain’s Strongest Man, Tom.
Joining the Stoltmans will be reigning Europe’s Strongest Man and reigning World Tour Finals winner Luke Richardson, and two-times Britain’s Strongest Man Adam Bishop.
Eight more strength powerhouses are part of the line-up, including 2019 Britain’s Strongest Man Graham Hicks, plus:
The dynamic dozen will compete over five incredible events – the Circus Press Medley, Car Walk, Axle Deadlift, Sack Toss and Power Stairs to lift the trophy renamed this year in memory of strength legend and two-times Britain’s Strongest Man Geoff Capes who died in 2024.
Darren Sadler, four-time World’s Strongest Man competitor and co-founder of Giants Live, said:
“Every year, the standard gets higher and the 2026 line-up is frankly one of the most competitive we’ve ever seen. With multiple returning champions and new blood coming through, it’s impossible to call the winner. One thing is certain though, whoever lifts The Geoff Capes Memorial Trophy knows they will thoroughly deserve the title of being Britain’s Strongest Man.”
