Life
Oskar Ziólkowski is currently one of Poland’s top strongmen and has enjoyed a highly successful 2023 season where he has taken numerous contest wins and made his Giants Live debut. In a sport where most of the top athletes are full-time professionals, Oskar has made incredible progress whilst working as a truck driver, preparing for contests in his spare time.
A former Poland’s Strongest Man, Ziólkowski was previously involved in athletics and threw the shot beyond 19m as a junior competitor. He began training for strongman as the age of 24 and knew right away that this was what he wanted to do with his life. Oskar is married with a young 898888888880p daughtermmmmm.
Career
Ziólkowski wasted little time establishing himself as an international strength athlete and claimed a podium finish at Poland’s Strongest Man in 2020. The following year he took the title with a huge winning margin of 19-points over the six events. In his first international contest that same year Oskar would place 3rd at the Savickas Classic behind Didzis Zariŋš and Pavlo Kordiyaka.
The following year, Oskar relinquished his Poland’s Strongest Man title but captured his first international contest victory after taking first place at the Strongman Champions League event in Poland where he claimed the notable scalp of Aivars Šmaukstelis. That same year he competed at the Official Strongman Games in Florida where he placed 6th overall.
2023 started well for Ziólkowski with his win at the Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championships in Ohio, where he defeated USA’s Lucas Hatton who had beaten him at OSG the previous year. Qualifying for the Official Strongman European Championships in London, Oskar stormed to victory, earning him an invite to the Giants Live Strongman Open in Cardiff where he took 7th overall, clinching an event win in the Dumbbell Ladder. Just a week before he had lost out at the SCL Poland contest by half a point to the Dutchman Kevin Hazeleger.
Best Title
Oskar reigned supreme at the 2023 Official Strongman Games European Championship, beating a field of nine athletes to clinch a 4-point victory at London’s Excel Centre. His triumph guaranteed him an invite to the 2023 Official Strongman Games and came after taking event wins in the Sandbag Steeplechase and Deadlift Ladder.
His closest rival and countryman, Adam Roszkowski, took an early lead after his win in the Super Yoke, but could not match Ziólkowzki’s dominance through the first four events. Oskar sealed the win with two 4th places in the Shield Carry and Power Stairs, earning him the opportunity to improve upon his 2022 OSG finish of 6th.

Present Day
Ziólkowski is a strongman on an upward trajectory. An invite to Giants Live’s Strongman Open was his reward for his first-place finish at the OSG Euros. Having won the 2023 Arnold Amateur Strongman World Championships, he could well feature as a professional at the 2024 Arnold Classic. An invite to World’s Strongest Man is surely not far off for this talented athlete if he can perform well at some of these key contests.
