Faye got into strongman after retiring from Olympic Weightlifting where she represented Wales at two Commonwealth Games. The gym she trained at in Cardiff had some strongman kit, and she thought it would be fun to have a go. She contacted Sam Taylor on Instagram and the rest is history.
Faye is now coached by Luke Davies who was at the gym when she first had a go with Sam in Aberdare. Faye was hooked from word go; she loves all the challenging events, and the variation in strongman competitions. She has yet to try a lot of events, as she has only done a handful of competitions, so still got lots to learn.
As a personal trainer, Faye mainly works with disabled/chronically ill clients and absolutely thrives off helping them make the most of their lives. She works with people who have Cerebral Palsy, MS, Sjögren’s Syndrome, Atrial Fibrillation, Crohn’s Disease, Osteoporosis and Degenerative Disc Disease.
